HW 272 Peach

HW 272 Peach

Prunus persica

Consistently high marks from fruit researchers at the WSU Mt. Vernon station have prompted us to get permission from Canada to offer this numbered selection. HW 272 is a very flavorful, reliable and heavy-bearing peach from the frigid lands of Harrow Station, Ontario. It is consistently productive in Western Washington and it's a vivid beauty with pale yellow skin and pronounced scarlet blush plus tasty, freestone, yellow flesh.

Considered resistant to peach leaf curl, it ripens for us in August. Please plant any peach in the hottest spot you have, as peachs prefers as much heat as they can get! It has a low incidence of split pits. Patented by Ag. Canada.

Hardy to USDA Zone: 5

Mature Height:  14'

Sun: Full Sun

Ripening Time: Late in Cool Climates, Early in Hot Climates

Pollination: Self Fertile

Dwarf Rootstock: St. Julian A
