Vaccinium agustifolium x corymbosum 'Chippewa'

This Northern lowbush blueberry, also known as a "half-high", makes a great compact edible ornamental. The light blue berries are delightfully sweet and juicy. This release from the U of Minnesota grows to 3-4 feet tall and wide with an upright form. A mature plant produces 4-7 pounds of large, light blue, excellent flavored berries in the midseason. The foliage turns a fiery combo of orange, yellow and red each fall.

Offer standard chill hours of 1000+ for this very hardy bush. Soil with an acidic ph of 4.5 is ideal, high in organic matter up top and good drainage below; also offer regular water during dry summers and load up on the mulch!
